wonder wall

I feel like a piece of shit. I haven't studied in like 4/5 days cos I just came back from Bangkok. And that sucks because seriously, who feels like studying when there are millions of stores selling stuff at wholesale prices waiting for you just around the corner?

Shit shit shit shit!! :( ): I actually brought my SS text and all along so i could study at night and what happened at night? I watched the world cup. Yeah and all the hassle we went through just to watch the world cup. My dad called the reception about 3 times cos whatever channel they'd tell us the world cup was on would be wrong. And then after we finally found the channel, (channel 17) it changed the next day (channel 14) These Thais are crazy!! And just across the road from our hotel, was this huge screen where footie fans could watch the matches at night. Cool shit.

But now I feel so lousy because I didn't study and what's worse I don't even feel like studying. Argh!

Men's Finals

Rafael Nadal has defended his French Open Title and he beat Roger Federer :( in 4 sets, 1-6 6-1 6-4 7-6 (7-4)

Nooooo! Okay I wanted it to be a 5 set match so I was supporting Federer all through the 4th set but he made a gazillion errors, and I must say Nadal played really really well, he only made like 8 or 9 unforced errors in the last 3 sets??? While Federer made 40+ unforced errors in all. Sucks. But at least he has good sportsmanship! And I seriously doubt Nadal can beat Federer on grass so I hope Federer wins the Wimbledon this time. Oooh only 2 more weeks.
Nadal's english is so bad, that it's funny. I give da example.

Q. After the Rome final, Roger Federer said, "Now I guess I know how to beat him." What do you think? How can he do this probably?

RAFAEL NADAL: I don't think nothing about that, no? Maybe he can beat me not now, after Rome. He can beat me in Monte‑Carlo, last year here, in Rome. Every time he can beat me. He is No. 1. I need find solution for beat him, not he find a solution for beat me, no?

Q. If you compare these finals of Rome, Monte‑Carlo, do you think the two of you got closer together, or the games were closer?

RAFAEL NADAL: Maybe that's not true. That's not true. Maybe that's not true. Every match is different. Every match is different history. Every match is different sensations, different places. Is not we can't compare one with other one. Is not exactly now he know me better and he can beat me because he can beat me in Monte‑Carlo and in every place. He's the best of the world, one of the best of the history, no? He can beat me in clay, for sure. But not now; every time, no?

I hardly understand what he's saying but who cares!! He won the French Open twice consecutively, and he's cute!! (Even with the big butt.) But Federer MUST win Wimbledon. I am banking on Federer to win Wimbledon. Nadal will never beat him on grass. He'd better not...

Oh yeah I had this super queer dream last night. Must be watching too many of Nadal's matches and interviews. I dreamt that Nadal came to my house cos, cos, cos you know why?? All the hotels in Paris were full. Ha! Ha! Ha! Not funny. Then okay the usual shit, ask for autographs blablabla oh yeah Hwee was there too! Then I remember this moth that flew in (??!???) so as usual, I screamed and ran (which is what I do in real life so at least that's accurate.) and everyone was laughing at me. Oh then we all went to bed. Then it was like early in the morning when I woke up cos my neighbour from Blk 5 called me and she was all, Omg I just saw Rafael Nadal downstairs. Which is totally inaccurate cos 1) the chance of her knowing any tennis players is about as much as the moon being made of green cheese. (Lisze should know.) and 2) she always wakes up at 10+ how would she know if he was walking around in the morning??

So it basically stops there. The rest is all too hazy. Maybe I should stop eating dinner so late.... Alrighty I'll stop ogling at Nadal (Hwee stop ogling at Federer's hairy tummy.) and go do like, some math or something.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Maybe not.

Finals!

The Great Banana Controversy

Q. A banana stuck in your throat?

RAFAEL NADAL: (Nodding head.)

Q. How many bananas have you eaten in your life?

RAFAEL NADAL: A billion. Is the most easy question.

Q. What happened?

RAFAEL NADAL: I take a little bit banana like this. I feel slip in the mouth and stay here (pointing to his neck).

------------------

Q. You didn't eat any bananas today, did you?

RAFAEL NADAL: Yes, I did. Come on, I swallowed ‑‑ I got one stuck once, but I'm not going to stop eating bananas because of that. Of course, I ate bananas during the match once in a while. With a great degree of caution, but I did eat bananas.

I can't wait for 9pm cos Federer the world number one will be playing Nadal the king of clay! =D See I toldya the French Open is taking over my life. Federer is really the most stylish player I have ever seen. But Nadal is cute. So it should be a good match! (I mean cos both of them are very good of course.)
I should be studying right now but instead I'm thawing my fingers typing because the room is effing cold because even though its raining outside I turned on the air conditioning...

If they play a 5 hour match later and it ends at 2am... I will FAINT! Nono I will continue watching it but be dead tired tomorrow.

BB & BN

So yesterday was the men's semis. Nalbandian retired in the third set!! Poor guy, he pulled a stomach muscle. So Federer is into the finals. And Nadal beat Ljubicic, no surprise, in 3 sets. It lasted 3 hours and when it ended I was already falling asleep. Wha Ljubicic's face was damn black lah! I bet he didn't like losing to someone with long shorts/ short longs, bushy eyebrows and a big butt. But I like Nadal anyway! (: His fans were super annoying though. They kept going Ole ole ole ole and singing something that sounded very tunelessly Spanish and going VAMOS RAFAEL!!! No wonder Baldo was mad but I think Nadal did play well. So for tomorrow I dunno whether I'll be all "Cmon Federer!!" or vamos rafa or whatever cos I like'em both buttttt I have a feeling Nadal will win. Only I hope his Vamos Rafa-ing fans won't be there or they'll distract Federer and he'll lose like the last 5-hour-long match.

Anyway we ARE going to Bangkok, on Tuesday and I shall make a list of what to bring.

1) Amaths exam papers.
2) Social Studies text. (I haven't touched SS for the whole holiday!!)
3) iPod
4) A book.

I don't really need anything else? Anyway if I bring a lot of stuff then I wont have enough space to pack everything I buy so yeah. Oh shitzzzzz I have tuition in an hour and fifteen minutes and I still don't understand what the hell's going on with organic chem. Byeeeee!

One

Going out in about half an hour with Hwee, to Suntec we need to get presents for people. I'm most probably going to Bangkok with the parents and ee ee jessie (:

Anyway these few days I've been going back to school, and when I get home I either play tennis or laze around. I only studied yesterday :/ then I watched the French Open at night.

The French Open is taking over my life! Aaack! So an update on yesterday's women's semifinals.
Old- looking Kuznetsova who is only 20 but who looks 40 played Sharapova's clone, Vaidisova. Vaidisova is seriously like Sharapova in every aspect... only I think Sharapova is better. Look.
1) They have the same long hair.
2) They have the same kind of floaty nightie dresses. Only Sharapova is endorsed by nike which is cooler than Vaidisova's Reebok. And her purple reebok dress is so damn ugly.
3) Before serving, they both like jogging on the spot.
4) They're both noisy. (But sharapova is noisier)
5) When they win, they both blow kisses to the crowd in the exact same way.

See? Vaidisova obviously wants to be like Sharapova. Only she can't, because she hasn't won the Wimbledon. She even lost to 20-year-old-but-no-one-would-believe-that Kuznetsova, so she can't even win the French Open! Not that she'd have a chance against...

Flat- chested Henin- Hardenne.

I'm not being mean! It's true! And she's really good though. She beat Clijsters in like an hour cos the both of them were hitting really hard but Clijsters made a gazillion unforced errors so Clijsters lost 6-2 6-3 but they're good friends anyway so I dont think she'll mind.

So in the finals, it'll be Flat Chest vs The 40-year-old-looking 20-year-old. I bet Henin will win though! Go Henin! She does charity work, isn't that so nice of her?

For men, tonight's the semis. Should be really good cos it's Small Head Big Bodied Nalbandian vs Big Nose Federer, and Big Butt Nadal vs Baldy Ljubicic. I'm betting on Big Nose Federer and Big Butt Nadal to win! I quite like BB Nadal now even though he has a big butt... and that is because he asked the umpire to let a ball boy leave the court because his nose was bleeding. So even if LiSze likes him... Haha kidding kidding.

Oh and I am completely addicted to One by U2 and Mary J Blige. Or maybe it's One Love. Or maybe its One Love One Life. Whatever lah it's a very nice song go listen to it y'all!

It's just so painful knowing that I won't ever get to hear the sound of his bell again or have him fall asleep whenever we cradle him like a baby. Or when he hides under our tables when he doesn't want to get back into his cage, or when he licks our fingers.

Because that's how bunnies show that they love you.

I miss you so much, my little dog- rabbit. I wish you could come back.

Do I make you proud

Yesterday's team dinner was fun! =D First... me, Hwee, Shaofang and Gourie the Goondu were supposed to watch She's the Man at PS. And, in the morning, Gourie was all, oh no one booked the 4.10 show! Very empty! So while Hwee and I were in a cab on the way... she called saying that there were NO MORE TICKETS. Hwee kept going on about how she KNEW something like this would happen. Hahaha so anyway, we told the driver to take us to Suntec since we arranged for the team to eat there.

So we told Gourie that we'd meet her at Topshop and we took a long time to get there on purpose so we'd have to make her wait (hwee's idea) but we still reached there earlier than her cos she was waiting for Shaofang :( Hahaha kidding. Yeah so anyway they didn't want to go to Sizzler even though i had two vouchers sooooo we decided on Surf n Turf.

And while waiting for the rest to come, we sat at KFC and gossiped, haha. A lot. Then we went upstairs cos they wanted to buy baby toys??? So gourie got a slinky coil for $1.90. Shaofang got a portable fan and Hwee got some insulated tumbler. Thennnnn we went back down to Surf n Turf...

And met Vivien. Then Steffi reached. They were having some offer on steak so we all ordered that, except Vivien and Gourie. Li Sze was SO LATE!!! By the time she reached we'd all finished!!!

Oh then we put salt and pepper into Hwee's drink when she wasn't looking, Shaofang's bright idea :D Hahaha then Vivien was like, ok here's to our team, we must meet up once a year blablabla cheers everyone, so we all drank and hwee spat hers out. At least she realised. Heh

The people there kept staring at us. I doubt it was cos we were making a lot of noise, the whole place was pretty noisy; Maybe they're eavesdropping to see what school we're from so they can go write a letter of complaint. It seems that members of the public like doing that, complaining about girls from my school. I have no idea why. I actually think that they're being plain nosey and they are trying to get us into trouble on purpose but let's forget that for the moment....

We came to the conclusion that everyone kept staring at us because Gourie was wearing her multi-coloured, two-dollar slinky coil on her wrist like a bracelet.

after dinner we wanted to go to Robinsons cos Vivien wanted to buy.. haha never mind but then we realised that it was gonna close. Shaofang left first and the rest of us went to Marina Square where we took a lot of pictures and made other people take pictures for us and then we went home!

(Of course, Gourie probably went disco dancing.)

12:37 p.m. on 2006-06-03

disco

Usually, I don't blog about trivial things like shopping trips, haha, but yesterday's was pretty fun.

I took a cab down to Hwee's place cos she insisted that her place is on the way to Suntec so when the cab was nearing her place I saw this aunty-looking person (kidding, kidding. =D)and I was trying to figure out if it was her then I saw the polka dots.

Okkk so first we went to City Link/ Citilink??? And she bought what, shoes, a ring, sunglasses, then we continued on to Suntec where she bought 2 more necklaces and a top and i can't remember what else. What a profligate!! =D

oh and Chan, if you're reading this, we were at Surfergirl? Or whatever it's called. and there was this pair of TOTALLY DISCO LOOKING EARRINGS. Like a piece of sequinned cloth dangling from a hook. So disco! And we saw really disco- looking heels too.

I'm kinda lazy to continue so i'm gonna do work now. Byeeee!!

silver fox

The last 6 hours of my life has been spent... slacking. Yep even with prelims, er, 2-3 months away and the o levels 4-5 months away. Instead of revising for Bio, or "burning my amath tys" (squack uses the weirdest phrases)... I'm BLOGGING!! And i've been online for the past coupla hours. For some reason or another I'm just not getting it into my head that instead of slacking my ass off, June is the only time when I can really really study before the dreaded exams.

Which is why when I see Sec 3s/2s/1s going on and on about how June is hardly a holiday cos of the endless projects and so on and so forth... in a few years you'll know what not having a holiday really is like so STOP WHINGING AND GET CRACKING ALREADY.

This sucks. Somehow I prefer going to school rather than being by myself in this boring dreary existence with so many things to distract me, ie food, computer, tv, taped american idol results show...

Somehow I simply can't concentrate. Lemme type out what I learnt this morning from my bio text.

When a pollen grain germinates, enzymes break the style and stigma down. The germinating pollen grain has two things in it, the vegetative and _______(????) nucleus. The pollen tube grows and penetrates through the style. At last, it reaches the micropyle. ( by the way, the vegetative nucleus has already disintegrated. The _________ nucleus has split to form 2 male gametes) The tip of the pollen tube bursts, releasing the 2 male gametes which enter the _______ (ovary?????) One fuses with the ovum to form the zygote (fertilisation) and the other fuses with the definitive nucleus to form the endospermic nucleus. (i think) The zygote becomes the embryo and then blabla something about cotyledons and plumules and radicles.

How utterly fascinating.

Oh yea and just now I was watching trl and they were featuring CHRIS DAUGHTRY!! (: my second favourite on AI until... he got voted out instead of FatKat. Anyway, Chris is like great friends with Ace the Androgynous (kidding, kidding.) And he's looking forward to seeing his 'boy, Ace' when they hit the roads on tour. Chris and Ace: The Bald and the Bigshouldered.

And apparently too, Elliott and Taylor are great friends (ok maybe all of them are). ThIe funky white boy and the silver fox. Okk I just like doing this (: I wish they'd come to Singapore so I can see Elliotttttttttt

Ok I'm off for lunch. I hate the feeling of not studying when I'm supposed to.

SEIZURE TAYLOR WON AMERICAN IDOL!!

Even though I love Elliott much much more... I'm glad Seizure Taylor won. Even if he DOES look like he's having a seizure when he dances. For those who didn't watch the results show last night... you missed so much!!! It was the best results show in the history of best results shows. Because..

1) They had these Golden Idol awards or something like that.
2) Elliott's mom Claudette Yamin won an award for Best Family Moment (or something like that) and it was so sweet!!! :D :D :D
3) Clay Aiken came out to sing and he looks very handsome now. Don't disagree with me.
4) Taylor got to sing his single, Do I Make You Proud!!
5) The top 12 performed!!!!
6) Elliott performed with Mary J Blige!!
7) Taylor performed one of my favourite songs he sang, In the Ghetto.
8) Puck n Pickler was really funny!!
9) The part where they gave the Randy jackson award to that fat black woman was hilarious
10) Dionne Warwick performed!!
11) When Ryan Seacrest announced Taylor Hicks had won American Idol Season 5, he yelled "SOUL PATROLLLL!"

Ahhh I'll buy his album when it comes out :) And I really really hope Elliott releases an album, I'd so buy it. It's so touching, he and his mom! And when ryan Seacrest told his mom to introduce Elliott on stage, she went, Ladies and gentlemen, my Elliott Yamin. His mom is so sweet!! :D :D I hope he cuts and album and does really well. He deserves it!!

Anyway we got back our report books today. LIKE SHIT MAN!!!

Y'all hafta see this, if you haven't.

I'M BEAUTIFUL

Hahaha it's so hilarious. Me and Hwee were up till 11+++ last night watching videos on YouTube. And this is my favourite...

arnold madtv

Enjoy!! Heeyaiiigh.

PS: I LOVE ELLIOTT
PPS: He has a girlfriend!! isn't that so sweet!!! :D:D

12:46 p.m. on 2006-05-20

I LOVE ELLIOTT

Yamin racked up 33.06 percent of the 50 million votes cast after Tuesday's episode, per Fox. Unfortunately for him, McPhee and Hicks scored slightly higher in percentage points, with one earning 33.68 percent of the votes and one earning 33.26 percent. (No word on which Idol hopeful wound up on top.)

I LOVE ELLIOTT. :'(

I am so distraught because Elliot Yamin has been voted off American Idol.
There goes American Idol's most humble, talented contestant!!!! NOOOOOO I WANT ELLIOT BACK INNNNNNNNNNNNNN He's so sweet and down to earth, and you so can tell how much he loves his mom. He really deserves to win AI but.. I watched the results show and it was so sad, he was like crying when they showed the video of him going back to his hometown. And it was so touching somehow when they showed him going back, and when they announced the results I was like crying. I never knew I would be so sad over something like someone getting booted out of American Idol but if it's someone as great a person as Elliott...

I can't stand Katharine now. She's so full of herself!!! I really think she should've been out last week but CHRIS WAS VOTED OUT, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU AMERICANS??? >:(

Someone give Elliott a recording contract. He deserves it so much more than any of the other idols.
I really hope taylor wins now, even though he spasms when he dances. ANYONE BUT KATHARINE. Ugh ):

First, it was Chris. Now, Elliot. If Katharine wins American Idol, I will boycott that show forever.
I AM SO. SO. SO. SO. DEPRESSED. Elliott deserves to win so much more!! He obviously works harder than the rest and he's so sweet and likable i can't imagine WHY americans would wanna vote for Kiss My Feet Katharine instead, even Seizure Taylor has a more interesting personality. If only I could vote!!!! I'm so glad that instead of stopping the show when the idol contestant who gets booted out starts singing for the last time, channel 5 instead at least let Elliott finish singing before stopping. :)

For now...
GO TAYLOR HICKS!!!!

7:05 p.m. on 2006-05-18

i melt with you

If the description of ACE YOUNG in my tagboard is accurate... this is how he'd look like!! So as y'all can probably see.. this isn't really how he looks like. Except for the hair, and the huge span of his arms. He isn't a good singer too. Anyway he's out. So ELLIOT ALL THE WAY!!! :D

Me Hwee and Vera went to the string ensemble and dance concert last night and it was pretty good! When we reached we thought we'd overdressed cos everyone we saw was in jeans and tshirts, or skirts and tshirts... but luckily most people we saw after that dressed more formally so we didn't really overdress. Or underdress, I suppose. But even if everyone says the storyline was kinda lame, the performance itself was nice. Haha.

We got back our last paper, our Lit paper today. And overall, I got a B3 for Comb Humans AGAIN, cos I ALWAYS get B4 for SS and A2 for Lit which isn't... good. At all. ): Argh which means, I didn't do worse or better than Term 1 and while everyone is getting better... (like MOHAN) I have not shifted at all. Though I DID improve in Bio! :D

Okkkk I actually postponed my tuition cos I was really tired. I think after dinner I will go do some Amath.

And P.S: My new favourite actor is Johnathan Rhys-Meyer!! =))) And doesn't Mike Vogel look so much like a surfer dude?? There must be a gazillion Mike Vogels on Bondii Beach. Johnathan Rhys-Meyer is so handsome. Bye!!!

And if y'all watched American Idol when it first started, you'd notice a particularly nasty contestant, Brenna of the Big Grimace.

5:38 p.m. on 2006-05-16

no more chris :'(

I AM SO SAD THAT CHRIS IS OUT OF AMERICAN IDOL!

Seriously, going by their performances on Wednesday, I think Katharine should've been voted out. Even though she has undeniable talent... she didn't perform up to standard at all on Wed and Chris was definitely better. I think Chris was like really surprised he got voted out. That is so sad! :'( Now I'm banking on Elliot to win. Because...
1) Elliot is so cute and he is so talented and humble.
2) I don't want another girl to win. For two seasons in a row, a girl has won and if Katharine wins that'd be so borrring.
3) I cannot imagine Taylor Hicks winning American Idol even if he does have talent.
4) Also, when Taylor dances, he looks like he's having a seizure.

If Elliot is voted out, I'll be DEVASTATED. It's bad enough that Chris, my other favourite, got voted out... I think Elliot really deserves to win. Anyway, he was the best on Wednesday and Chris and Taylor were real good too.

Sigh. :(

10:18 a.m. on 2006-05-12

MIDYEARS :(

I am very very unsatisfied with my midyear results BUT I suppose its my own fault for not studying hard enough. I don't even think I'll get an A1 for my English. Cos even if I get a 23 for my compo, which S Hoe is giving back tomorrow, I'll get 74. Or if I get a 24, I'll get a 74.8. And the last time I got 25 for compo was in Sec 2 when Mr Ang was our teacher. Mr Ang appreciated the way I wrote! :D Haha. Okay la I think S Hoe is quite a good teacher actually but I seriously doubt she'd give me a 25. Who is the horrible person who marked the stupid speech?? Ugh!! How can he/she give me such terrible marks that totally pull down my average??
But I think what I'm most disappointed about is my Amaths. Cos I actually practiced a lot of Amath but I ended up only getting a B3 :'( (And I didn't do any emaths and I still can get A1?? What kind of logic is that!) Cos of my last question, the radian one. IF I had gotten full marks for that, instead of ONE AND A HALF, or done the linear law question I'd have gotten A1. But it's over so no point moping I suppose. I think Squack expected me to get A la cos when she asked who got A2 she thundered at me, 'Why isn't your hand up yet??' I mean I like Squack a lot but I AM ALR SO SAD SQUACK SO STOP RUBBING IT IN :(

And don't even get me started on Jessie Tan Mo han. Like seriously. She got As for all sciences and both maths, and she topped the class in A & Emath and Bio and Physics. I hate Jessie Tan Mo Han!!! She makes me feel so stupid! And while 22 people in class failed Physics, what did Jessie Tan Mo Han get?? A freaking A2. What did I get? A freaking C5. (Eh also cos I studied the night before. In the toilet.)

It's just people like this... who are very inspiring. Because they inspire me to work hard.
My report book will be like full of 4s and 5s and 6s and 7s!!!! Ok not so jialat but BAD ENOUGH?? If I get a B4 for my Comb Humans which is almost inevitable... Unless I get a C5.. I'll get like 15 points. :( Which sucks. (Don't listen to Li Sze who thinks that to me just passing = 20/25, as she has so often proclaimed to the world.)
I want to go to VJC. I bet with Jessie Tan Mo Han's results this term, she will ALREADY be accepted into a top JC.

Queensway is one of my favourite places in Singapore and I'm going there later :)

Anyway I finally went to get my ears pierced yesterday, at Goldheart. When the lady was getting ready the stapler thingy I began having second thoughts about letting her drive a stud into my earlobe :/ And plus, this Malay lady was standing nearby watching me like she was watching a tv show. Eh very fun is it? Gosh. It wasn't that bad la, it doesn't hurt at all now. I went around asking people whether it would hurt and KZ, who always tries to act tough (haha :D) was like, aiya not painful at all la! There IS a certain degree of pain KZ, you may try to act tough but don't tell me you have no nerve endings!! And I think Keyi cried went she pierced. LOL!! Funny!

12:41 p.m. on 2006-05-07

i still

I am totally not in the mood to do any work at all! :(

Yeah so anyways, today we got back our Chem and Physics MCQ papers. I did so badly for Chem! But at least I passed Physics, what a consolation. Haha. Oh today Physics lesson was one of the more interesting ones, mostly cos Yappy-nehneh-head returned us our papers, and he was like going through these questions and I totally didn't get him at all. He was blabbering on about a coconut or something. Oh then, he was walking down the row away from us and he suddenly wheeled around and exclaimed gleefully, "Y'all have any questions or not??!? :D :D", scaring us half to death in the process. His expression was damn funny, I dunno why it just cracks me up. We were all like laughing so hard.

Oh and we watched Infernal Affairs 2 during Chinese lesson! Omg Wangyue is cool to let us spend a whole week's worth of lessons watching a movie =) Even though I didn't really understand it very much and had to get the rest to explain everything to me...

I am so tired!! :( Oh the parents say we're going to perth during the hols. I can't wait! I need to shop!

no tagboard?

I dunno why my tagboard can't show.
So anyways, we haven't really gotten back our midyear papers, just a couple: Bio and Emath. I TOTALLY give up on Bio!! :( I don't study, I fail. I study, I STILL fail!! Okay so it's just one part buttttttt stilllll. I'm banking on my long winded essays on what the eye does to pull that up. Sigh. Maths wasn't too bad though :)

And Paris is out of American Idol for all those slow people who don't know yet! I'd rather she go out than Elliot or Chris or Katharine but still it's kinda sad to see her go. She's good and she does sound like Minnie Mouse. *LOL* I was really scared Elliot would leave though. Ahh his rendition of Home last night was so expressive! :D I really hope either he or Chris wins cos I don't want another girl to win even though Katharine is so good. I actually think she's like the best. But after Fantasia and Carrie Underwood.. another girl would be boring :/ Anyway even if she doesn't win, she'll probably get a recording contract. Her second song yesterday was so good!! It's called, Black Horse and the cherry tree or something like that. And Taylor wasn't too bad too, I loved the Beatles song he sang! The first song was just weird la. He was like rolling on the floor. And Chris' first song was fantastic!! Only I dunno what it's called. The second wasn't too bad but the judges didn't like it as much.

Omg I will be SO SAD when American Idol is over :( Then there'll be Singapore Idol. Blegh!! I simply CANNOT- STAND last year's Sg Idol contestants!! They are so slappable, esp Sylvester and Daphne. Sly what sly la he can't sing for peanuts. And Daphne just annoys me so so much, and she totally can't sing as well too. Ugh. I hope we get some like, real talent this round (not counting on it though). I think the only really talented people from last year were Olinda (even though I don't love her) and Jeassea Thyidor who was ousted so early.

Why do they hafta get so hyped up over Sg Idol. Ugh. And the silly commercials promoting Idol are so annoying.

TGIF tomorrow. I don't think I could stand another 2 days in the sweltering heat with no one to talk to during lesson time. (cos @#$%^&* lisze is always grumpy)

Okkk I think I'll go do something else now, like my physics tys. Buhbyeeeee

No more exams!

Anyway lately I dunno why but I've been getting so stressed out and angry for no really apparent (or so to my friends) reason at all.
Ok you know how whenever people say, be content with what you have cos there are so many people who are worse off than you. But don't they think about the many other people who are better off? Who have already gotten there and are living their dreams, and worse, YOUR dreams? And it can all just be so unfair sometimes. You can't do anything about it. And that's exactly what makes me so unhappy... and I have no one to talk to who can really understand whatever's bugging me cos they're either better off in some way or another, or they don't even care and think that what I'm all worried about is silly.

I'm doing badly in like, everything: my studies, my CCA and whatnot. Right now, VJC seems like a million light years away.

footie

4 years ago when I was in Primary Six... me and Vera and all were so crazy about football and I think they still are but I am not. I remember us talking about Oliver Kahn's bulldog face (I still have the figurine Vera :D) and Michael Ballack and Miroslav Klose and Dietmar Hamman. (And making fun of Hamman's name, like, DIET-mar, ha-ha-ha, funny!) and imitating Beckham's squeaky voice, and complaining about Ronaldo's silly halfmoon haircut back then. And going all sad when Germany lost the World Cup to %&*( Brazil!! I mean like, Oliver Kahn didn't let a goal in until The Brazilians Struck.

Ok my point is I went off football after that cos I thought it's silly watching 22 people run around after a ball. (Isn't that what everybody says?) Precisely because... it's what everybody says. Everybody who doesn't like football that is and now four years later I realise.. Football is fun watching! So I am now interested in football again, just in time for the World Cup not to end too. :D I am now a Footie Fan! Which means i have to catch up on what's been happening in my 4-year absence from the football fan world. I mean all I know is that Beckham joined Real and I think even Hwee would know that.
Ok gtggg byeeeee (:

:'(

I totally screwed up Amaths today :( It'll be a wonder if I get an A lah. Or a B3 even. And the thing is, it wasn't a hard paper, I finished all the questions and I found it okay while I was doing it but then after the paper.. I realised I made so many mistakes. Bye bye A1 :( Ahh I shan't dwell on it. I'll concentrate on next week's Chem and Physics. Oh yeah Bio was insanely tough. I nearly fell asleep doing it and in the end I was rushing for time. I have hand cramp la! Now I'm doing some Chem worksheet and my hand is so painful.

Anyway. I think Wed's American Idol: it's about time Ace left! But I think annoying Kellie Pickler should've been ousted cos she was really lousy, BUT she wasn't even in the bottom 3!! How unfair is that? When Chris and Paris were. I think the Americans like Chris being more rock. How in the world is Kellie Pickler gonna survive next week, they're singing Andrea Bocelli!!! She so cannot do Andrea Bocelli. It's like, opera and she's like, I dunno. Farmgirl. Haha she isn't half as good as the rest la. But katharine and Elliot are like really good! =) I hope one of them wins. Taylor was good too.. and Chris' was okay and er, I can't remember Paris'.

Yeah so anyway. I am sleeping early tonight, for the first time this whole week. TGIF!! =) I really love Fridays. Ahh I'm like so worried for Chem and Physics, especially Chem. Ka zhua keeps saying to me "one day ah i will win you in chem". Well Kazhua.. wait long!! Haha. there's nothin' like a little friendly competition to um. Boost our morales!
I so cannot wait until Thursday. EH ROCKETGIRL you'd better go out with me and hwee la! If not... >:(
I really dread getting back our papers. I'm so DEAD :(

:(!!!

I LEFT MY BEAUTIFUL CHEM NOTES OUTSIDE MY CLASS!!!!! :'(

Cos i lent them to Li Sze to zap then she returned them to me and I LEFT THEM THERE!!! OMG WHAT IF SOMEONE STEALS THEM. That's like a year ++++ 's notes!!! THE WHOLE STACK HAS GOT TO BE LIKE 5 INCHES THICK AND IF THEY'RE MISSING I THINK I WILL GO INTO DEPRESSON.

or what if someone throws it away :(((
I am so distressed.

And there's something I've been wondering about lately. Why are people homosexual? You can't marry your gay partner in the long run anyway, not in Singapore at least. I dunno why I just find it annoying. I hope my tagboard doesn't get flamed by a group of angry lesbos.

The only people who can be more annoying than the people who TyPe LyK dIs must be the people who TyPe lYk DiS on purpose, then suan the hell out of the people who tYpE lYk dIs. They're not gonna stop, so get over it already. Am I contradicting what I've done before? If I am.. then forgive me but people change! =)

It is 2 weeks to the midyear exams and the only thing I've studied is one chapter of Bio!! Okay it really isn't THAT bad, I've been doing my work every day but I've completely neglected my humanities and Bio.. until now that is.

Omg today I saw the cheekopek guy at the bus stop again but LUCKILY as he came, his bus came as well. PHEW!! But there were a lot of other people at the bus stop too so yeah... Ahhh I have like tuition later tonight which means I can't study later cos when I get back i'll be so pooped and I'm slacking right now so today I'll hardly get the chance to study. Someone please shoot my head off!! Ok I shall go do my physics paper now, gbye!

5:31 p.m. on 2006-04-06

good one.

Yesterday stupid Lee and Khoo played a prank on me. (And Sng was involved too apparently) They told me some guy liked me and I fell for it hook line and sinker, so good job, guys! It's not often anyone can trick the master! (: Hahaha
Anyway, does anyone know why durians smell and salt doesn't? Cos I never knew till yesterday. I didn't so know so many questions that I like, failed a chem test for the very first time!! *bursts into tears* Yeah, yeah whutevvvaaa.

For my future reference in case I forget.. Durian smells because its a covalent compound and some of it is gaseous at rtp or SOMETHING like that lah. Isn't that just so silly?? No one questions why durians smell! Chinese just like, eat them! And Americans just like, run away!
My parents are in Sinapore already!! (: I'm so happy... I doubt they bought me anything though. They bought my cousin an astroboy pencilcase and I refused to tell her what they bought her and she was in sheer agony, hohoho

it seems like it's been forever since you've been gone.

Love, Rachel!

ugly insects

EDIT I was right. The moment I walked into the toilet, there lay an insect in the sink waiting for me to come in. It was thrashing around like a mad thing and i screamed really loudly. Whatever la, POSER MAN.

Insect: *thrashes around* mwahahaha watch me die stupid girl

I got my maid to rid my bathroom of it. My maid= #1 efficient insect catcher!!!

It's like almost nine and I'm still in my school uniform. I'm so stinky and sweaty! On the plus side, I probably won't appeal to insects as much as I usually do. Omg I effing hate insects. I bet they all conspire to attack me. They do it in shifts and meet every weekend to decide how to terrorise me.

Ugly bug Leader: Okay what is the next way we can scare the girl on the 15th floor out of her wits?

Moth: I have a slot on Tuesday night. I'll divebomb her when she comes out of the bathroom.

Beetle: how about while she's doing her work i fly in and buzz around and bang into the windows

Leader Ugly Bug: That's an excellent idea, Alan. (yes it's name is alan. i hate that name.) I will hereby promote you to Assistant Leader Ugly Bug and never will you be known as Beetle again.

Assistant Leader ugly bug Alan: hooray! I will do my best to terrorize that girl out of her wits. she will regret the day she was born! MWAHAHAHAHA!

All the other ugly insects present: MWAHAHAHAHA!

I dread tuesday. I hate moths.
I stepped on one today, it was next to lisze's table but it was already dead and I stepped on it by accident and when I found out I nearly had a fit so I wiped my shoe off on lisze's chair, mwahaha.

I am so tired!! Anyway it's April Fool's day on saturday... Any ideas on what to do?? (: anyway i think it's time i like take a bath now. I shall get down to doing some work then read my jokebook (ha-ha-ha-ha) then knock off. I'm THAT tired =/

Love Rachel!

I SCREWED UP MY AMATH TEST BIG TIME. If I get over 30, then... well... I can't of anything suitable at the moment (because everything I'm thinking of isn't) but it will be an EFFING MIRACLE!! *bursts into tears*

The chinese compre passage was so funny. I was giggling away during the paper.

I managed to get all of Taylor Hicks' and Ace Young's songs from American Idol!! And I have Kevin Covais', and Elliot's too. Mwahahaha. I am so sick of my template. It's so white. I imagine white things to get dirty real easily. Sigh anyway THE PARENTS ARE IN TAIWAN NOW and I miss them!!! :( Yea so the cuzzin is coming over later, and she's taking me out for dinner! And she's making her boyfriend pay too, of course... So well, I should go get a new template now because I can't bear to look at mine anymore. After that I shall work on $#%^& maths I HATE MATHS but I must get an A1 for it anyway.

the test tube song!

My conversation with Hwee has inspired me to write a song.

the test tube song

I am cooler than cool
Because I don't drool;
i don't sleep during chem class
cos it's such a total blast
i love test tubes
they turn me on
so this is called the test tube song

chorus+second verse+ bridge
test tubes, test tubes, test tubes, test tubes, wash'em and leav'em out to dry my love for test tubes'll never die.

and just keep on going.

>:(

I have not been having a good day. The sheer lousiness of it is making me feel as if I owe the world something. It all started when school ended.

Firstly, I had no one to go home with. Is that sad or what? I have at least 3 friends living around my area and none of them could go home with me :( Not that it's their fault, but who says that bad things have to be other people's fault anyways? So yeah, I had to make my own lonely way home. Secondly, it was friggin hot. It's not exactly the best thing in the world to walk around in an uncomfortable (ie: must adjust belt to make sure it doesn't ride up) two-layered uniform.

Thirdly, 158 took a century to come. By the time it came, the leaning tower of Pisa had fallen down, SAP Publications had released 6 entirely new Ten Years Series, and Britney Spears was pregnant for the 15th time. It was sheer agony to sit there in the sweltering heat and seeing about 10 other buses come and go. Also I was really scared that the cheekopek looking fella I saw yesterday would be there. He scared the hell out of me yesterday and every time a bus came I would be SO worried he'd come off it and start acting cheekopek-y. (eg: staring incessantly/ spitting phlegm [not that that's very cheekopek like but it's gross lah]) I promised myself that if he got off any of the hundred buses that came before 158, i'd take a cab home.

So 158 finally came and when I went on board there were so many people on it it was as though they were giving away free toilet rolls on the bus or something. Then finally at one of the stops about half the bus got off. So I was able to sit down in peace WHEN at the next stop this lady HAD to come and sit next to me!! I REALLY. REALLY. HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE SIT NEXT TO ME ON THE BUS. Especially when I'm getting off at the next stop!! I'm sure there are a million other seats behind, what is so appealing about sitting next to a sweaty, angry school girl?? So when I got to my stop I barrelled my way out of the %$^& bus and then...

I got really annoyed again but I'm not supposed to say what!!!

Okay then after that. I got so pissed off at my mom (SORRY MOM i love you!!) cos she WANTED me to not play tennis and go with her to buy some cheongsam cos she's going to a wedding next week in Taiwan. In the end I decided to just play for an hour instead of 2 so I'd have time to shower then go with her.
Then, my maid comes and tells me that there was this GIANT screw up at the management (giant to me that is) and when she called up to book our court the guy said they were available but when she went down to check, apparently there were NO courts available and so we didn't book any but thought we did. So now I can't play. Which is why I AM SO MAD.

The world has it in for me!!!!!

grr

I never thought I'd say this but..

I AM SUCH A BUM AND A GLUT

Yesterday, I woke up at 8 plus plus plus then at nine plus plus plus, left the house to watch Nanny McPhee at 10.30. After pigging out on popcorn, me and the neighbours walked around suntec ogling at everything we couldn't buy then they went to pig out on KFC and I went to find my mom so we could pig out somewhere else. And after pigging out we went to walk somemore. For the rest of the day. And when we got back we watched American Idol. Finito!

And today, I tried to finish studying Metals. But obviously halfway I got distracted which is why I am online blogging right now. =/

I am feeling guilty.

tuesday

I haven't updated in a week! :D Not that I've been using that time to study la. It's the hols now! =)

On thursday we got back our progress reports. It was bad but it's only the first month (and i better not complain so much or my tennis mates'll slap me upside down ): )

On Friday.. er. I forgot what happened on Friday actually. Oh yeah we got our nice clean airy shit-free classroom on the 4th floor back! Plus we can exercise every morning by climbing up 8 flights of stairs!

On Saturday, it was the usual marathon of tuitions. =/ Keyi was going on about her cabbage joke which SO was not funny, but she thought it was so in the end we were laughing AT her, not WITH her, only Hwee found it funny when I told her but since she always laughs at her own jokes it doesn't count. And during Chem Li Zz and KZ were as usual, ganging up on me so at the end of tuition I spilt water on them for the second time in a month. (the last time I did they were also taking it in turns to poke me in the sides. It was excruciatingly painful.)

Sunday? What happened on Sunday?

Yeah then yesterday, Monday, we had our team dinner with Mr Ang and his wife and Coach Qing. Gourie looked like she was going to a DISCO! Everyone was betting that Li Sze would wear some surf top and guess what, she did. We ate at Genki Sushi and Gourie decided to get a free refill Sprite so we shared it among us and the poor waiter guy had to keep refilling the glass. They made Shao Fang read out both the cards we wrote to mr Ang and coach Qing and I got everything down on video! Tell me if you want it! :D

Okay I shall go do Amath now. Today has been extremely unproductive so far. :(

i will be your father figure
put your tiny hand in mine
i will be your preacher teacher
anything you have in mind
i will be your father figure
i have had enough of crime
i will be the one who loves you
till the end of time

Ace Young sang that! =) Oh gosh Ace Young is like, the COOLEST. And he also happens to be very- very- very- HOTTT. Heh at the end of the performance ryan seacrest asked him to look in the camera again?? Sighhh. Very swoon-worthy =) I like the end of the song where they have the part that sounds like the panflute. Only I don't think it's the panflute but I'M NOT IN MEP LA SO SHOOT ME.

I am rooting for Ace Young and Elliot and Katharine McPhee and Mandisa all the way! Down with Brenna and the blonde girls whose names I can never remember!

=/

Hahaha today tuition was so hilarious. It was quite slack also lah. Heh. And like halfway through tuition they kept talking about maple (?!?). What is the big deal about maple?!? Blegh! I like NEOPETS, thank you very much. My favourite part of neopets is earning money. Oh then KZ was like asking mr teo why he didn't take triple science or something like that and he went. i'm a noob la or something. Then me and kz were like, "HWEE. HAHAHA" because hwee finds the word noob so amusing even though it isn't. =/

Tuition is so fun =) haha

Then me and mumsie went to parkway and then we went into esprit and bought some stuff then we went to marks and spencer and bought some more stuff then cold storage, and that jap place, and oh I can't remember where else lah but the time we headed back to the car our arms were about to snap.

I am SO HUNGRY!!!

My dad's in china now on some business trip and I miss him :( And it's snowing there too. He gets to see snow twice within the short space of a few months, how unfair...

Okay I think I should go eat before I keel over. Buhbye.

7:07 p.m. on 2006-02-25

yawn!

Oh crap. I have like what, 4 days to finish up my essay for the commonwealth essay competition and inspiration has not struck me at all. IT BETTER COME FAST. AND SOON.

Yeah so anyway the past few days were pretty boring. We had chem prac and I think I'm going to do really badly for it, then today we had physics prac and I think i'm going to do even MORE badly for that. Bye bye A1 :(

Lessons have been so boring canNnNnN!! And there is hardly any gossip nowadays, all everyone (like CHAN) does is study study study all day long and all night long, omg they have no life la. (Hear that Chan?!?) I'm so SHACKED and I have to wake up early tomorrow, because tonight I'll be doing my essay therefore I won't have the time to do my tuition homework so I'll hafta cram everything tomorrow morning. Hurrah.

Okay it's back to the essay.

8:56 p.m. on 2006-02-17

omg x 1000000

OMG x 1000000

I have made history today. This has got to be the first time, in all my four years at TKGS that I've actually got an A1 for Chinese and LUCKILY I didn't go waste my time getting an A1 on some stupid mid-week mini test, I got an A1 for O level chinese I am SO HAPPY AHAHAHAHA HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY, AND CHUFFED, AND DELIGHTED, AND EXULTANT!!!

And just yesterday I was moaning and groaning for the whole world to hear about how I nearly died before Chinese O Levels. (Eh I really did. Maybe not that serious but I couldn't breathe. Because my lungs were clogged. Or something in that vein)
I am really very, very, very happy. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever for one moment think I'd have the slightest chance of getting an A1. I started crying when I saw the marks.

And to all my great friends who did superbly well for the chinese o's too! Tan, KZ, Wee Shan, Germ, Laochang (who shared the same sentiments that getting an A1 wasn't possible), Ostrich, LiZzZz and everyone else who did so well too. =)
I was (and am) so happy that I came home and slacked. And I've been sLaCkiNg ever since!! w00ts (HAHA)

Oh and for the people who are thinking "Wah lau, get one A1 also so happy, not L1R5 also what"... my chinese is really bad and this is a great achievement so stop trying to burst my bubble of profound happiness.
The weather isn't agreeing with my mood!!!

=)

schoolwork

Tomorrow is the last day I have to study for Friday's bio test. Yep. Half a day to study plant nutrition (whoopeedee!) and excretion (triple joy). It's not that I don't like Bio. I just don't like the way we study hafta study it. It's not like physics, which is like really don't have anything to study, or chem, which we do have to study but somehow it isn't as tedious as studying for Bio.

Argh!! Bio!! *whaps head with Bio text*
It is interesting but it's such a pain. Mr Peh is really funny though. He's a pretty good FM too. :D
Yeah anyway I think I sucked big time at the SAC match today. I was in such a lousy mood. I do not have a career in tennis. I shall be a marine biologist.

On the plus side I've SORTA done some studying for Bio, that is, mammal nutrition and ecology (it's 11pm now and I'm pooped.) not that I can remember all that much... And after Friday it's gonna be so packed. My schedule I mean. First I gotta study Chem because there is a Chem test next Friday but Chem Nerd wants to give us a test on Saturday (whoopee.) so I have to study for THAT, and then there's the Amath CA on tuesday that I have yet to study for as well. Slap them la. Think we have a lot of time to study during CNY is it?!

Anyway I realise this entry is all about schoolwork! I must be turning into a nerd, and that is good. I'm going to bed now. I've been looking forward to that all day (:

CNY

Man I just read someone's blog and I feel so totally grossed out!! =/ Ew ew ew!
Yea anyway today's like what, the second day of CNY and I'M STUDYING FOR BIO. Or I was until I gave up trying to concentrate and went on to... Chemistry! (i love chem much much, muacks muacks. oh puke.) Okay lah I actually quite like chem. Heh.
Then there's the bbq later.

Shit I'm going to fail Bio.

4:04 p.m. on 2006-01-30

BSB!! <3

Okay I know in primary school I was really into westlife but FYI, I really did like BSB too. Haha. Now you know! And.. The BSB concert was really really fabulous! =D They were only 15 minutes late. Haha. And their first song was The Call i think and it was SO COOL, and there was so much screaming (from me and hwee too. haha) and their dance moves are so cool. Hwee kept going on and on about how great a dancer Kevin is and how short Brian is and er, nick. Haha. Okay I REMEMBER how in pri school we kept going on about Brian and The Flared Nostrils but now I realise how great a singer he really is. So Brian is my favourite Backstreet boy! =) And AJ has a really super voice too. After a bit everyone got out of their seats and rushed to as near to the stage as they could possibly get. The lighting and all that was real good. The whole atmosphere was so great cos everyone was singing along and screaming and cheering and all that...
So I dragged hwee to the railing (she didn't want to go at first la. So lazy.) where we had a much better view. Oh and halfway during the concert she went WHERE'S KEVIN?!? And these 2 girls both turned and stared. Heh.

They performed quite a few songs, all their popular hits and stuff which really got the crowd going, haha. And a coupla times they told everyone to 'sit back and relax', but obviously everyone was on their feet screaming and singing along.. so even slower songs like Sibera and all, they still went pretty fast. And I must say Nick is a really good entertainer. And they sang Weird World!! Everytime the band struck up a tune, we would be like 'eh what song is this' then when we recognised it everyone would start screaming our lungs out (: The last song was Backstreet's Back, and it was such a great finale. But it was all over so fast.

But they didn't sing Poster Girl. Argh. It is one of my favourite songs!!!
Man I really hope they come again soon, I'd buy better seats!!

The things we did, the things we said
Keep coming back to me and make me smile again
You showed me how to face the truth
Everything that's good in me I owe to you
Though the distance that's between us Now may seem to be too far
It will never separate us
Deep inside I know you are
Chorus:
Never gone, never far
In my heart is where you are
Always close, everyday
Every step along the way
Even though for now we've got to say goodbye
I know you will be forever in my life
Never gone
I walk alone these empty streets
There is not a second you're not here with me
The love you gave, the grace you've shown
Will always give me strength and be my cornerstone
Somehow you found a way
To see the best I have in me
As long as time goes on
I swear to you that you will be
(Repeat chorus)
Never gone from me
If there's one thing I believe (I believe)
I will see you somewhere down the road again
(Repeat chorus)
Never gone, never far
In my heart is where you are
Always close, everyday
Every step along the way
Never gone, never far
In my heart is where you are

never gone

Yes, and go see Ah Long's blog too. I think we all feel the same way.

Anyway I just found out that the song 'Never Gone' by BSB is dedicated to Kevin's late father and when I heard it I found the lyrics so so sad I actually cried man. Oh no it's playing again now.
Though the distance now between us now may seem to be too far; it will never separate us deep inside I know you are never gone; never far; in my heart is where you are. Always close, every day, every step along the way. Even though for now we've got to say goodbye I know you'll be forever in my life.

School rules

Since when has school gotten so strict?

Today is the 4th day in a row I got pinpointed by a prefect. First, it was my socks. (They weren't low. I pull them high before entering school every day.) Then it was my hair. Then they told me to paint my shoes white because there was a pale blue nike tick on it. Slap them lah!!! I paid 97- freaking ass- bucks for them just so I could wear them to school because they are WHITE, and they tell me to paint it white?! Everyone knows that when we pay money for branded goods we pay for the brand, and they are asking me to paint the brand logo, which I might add, is PALE BLUE. So we complained to Mr Ang who said we COULD wear them. Then today, they told me to sew my belt. 10 centimetres. Why ten anyway? As long as I'm not wearing it at my knees, why should they care?
And the way they SCOLD the poor latecomers at the podium. It is downright rude. And that's not the worst thing, so many people from my class came into Chem class about 20 minutes late because they were getting scolded. They can book us or whatever but they have absolutely no right to take up our lesson time. And I heard anything that isn't allowed like colored earsticks or whatever, they simply throw away. The way they make the prefects go up and down our rows with clipboards, and pull out anyone talking or not properly attired, is really really unnecessary (this is just a NICE way of saying it!!!), to the podium so THEY can get yelled at and miss half their first period. This is a school not a place for juvenile delinquents.
And some of the prefects are downright rude. (Just a few.) I feel like slapping them silly whenever they come up to us and try to get us to do something about our attire. A few days back one of my friends yelled at a prefect (I don't blame her) and then it was all over school and they even told our FM but lucky our FM was really nice about it. (she likes us lah, complain also no use.)

Oh yeah, they told some people with the thin red line around the sole of their shoes to paint the line white. Hello you. It is a 3 mm line. Our shoes are not fluorescent pink with butterflies. So many schools are allowed to wear sports shoes to school so fine, we aren't, but what is a LINE?! Go worry your silly little heads over something else, like how you're going to get into a good JC if you keep worrying about our attire (it isn't even yours). Granted if our attire is really atrocious, like our belts loose and not through the loops, or our socks sinking into the depths of our shoes or our hair clearly dyed then book us or whatever but small things like that?! That is just plain STUPID.
And they like to pinpoint the Sec 4s.

The worst thing is how they make some people miss their lessons. Look, they should just totally get it into their heads that not everyone in the school is gonna adhere to all the school rules and wear our belts high and everything else. No matter what they do there will ALWAYS be some people who'll go against that and nothing can change that, least of all humiliating them publicly and making them so angry that all the more they want to rebel. This is our O level year, for heaven's sake. Stop worrying about our attire and start worrying about our results instead.
Sometimes I just don't understand the way some people think. They think what they're doing is so right but that's really the wrong approach.

My dad told my mom to write in to the press. I think she should too.
Anyway, on a lighter note:

ONLY 4 MORE DAYS TO THE BACKSTREET BOYS NEVER GONE CONCERT!!! =D OOH I CAN'T WAIT. Hahaha!

On a heavier note:
I haven't finished my tuition homework.

bsb

I am SO-SO-SO SICK OF STUDYING!!!

Okay actually I'm NOT lah but it's just that the weather's so beautiful. And no one is free to do anything so I have to STUDY! Blegh!
I have so many tests coming up. We have like Physics and Emath (ew.). Y'know how Emath is supposed to stand for elementary math??? It doesn't. It stands for: Ewww!! Math!

And tomorrow is gonna be such a long day. We have CCA day until midday then Chem tuition. And then a 2 hour break, then PHYSICS tuition. Urgh.

Anyway I think I'm going to the BSB concert, if there still are tickets. It's on the day of our humans test so at least I won't feel so guilty about that. Yay I love the Backstreet Boys! =D

I shall finish up my physics studying then I'll go to the gym at night. It'll be packed to the brim now. =/

Narnia.

The Chronicles of Narnia was so good. It's so much like LOTR and it's so touching and I love it so much and when I got home I lay in bed and thought for an extremely long time about what if a parallel universe DOES exist where they don't have science and technology and no one cares about the ozone and pollution. What if right now someone from that Parallel Universe is actually lying in the middle of a field and staring at the sky and thinking: what if there was a parallel universe with all kinds of easy ways to move about instead of by horse/griffin/unicorn/feet and there was lots of sulphur dioxide and unburned hydrocarbons floating around.

Then they'd probably think: shit, it's good to be doing nothing in a field. maybe I should go gallop over a mountain on a horse later.

Is that perfect or what? And like, they wouldn't even be bored, cos they wouldn't even have heard of Playstation Portable! Someone should dedicate his or her life to finding that parallel universe. Why does everyone wanna be a doctor or a lawyer (guilty.) or a architect?

I wish life was about y'know, fighting wars, and glorious victories, and sea voyages and whatnot instead of ELECTROLYSIS (blegh!) and DIFFERENTIATION (double blegh!) and PLANT CELLS (blegh! blegh! blegh! blegh!) and so on and so forth.

Maybe I'll go discover that parallel universe even if it's only in my head.
Anyway, there's SCHOOL tomorrow and I'm going to be SECONDARY FOUR. Four!!! I can feel my wrinkles forming!!!

There are schools in Narnia too. If you didn't know that.. read the books.

xmas

I haven't blogged for a while cos the computer was down. :(
Anyway! Christmas eve dinner at ee ee Jessie's was pretty cool. My cousin invited Sheikh Haikel over and the rest of my cousins came over too, (: and we had a turkey. And pizza, and black forest cake, and indian food, and well, other stuff.

The next day was Christmas, which was spent at home. It was very boring. Haha, until after dinner, when we watched King Kong. It's very Peter Jackson-ish, like the bit where Adrian Brody climbs up this rock wall, if you notice, it looks exactly like the scene in The Two Towers where Gollum climbs up a rock wall. And there were quite a few bits where the movie went all blurry and confusing, (especially during the natives scene) and they played freaky music, that was kinda like some scenes in LOTR too. But it was good! I think Andy Serkis is amazing man. And the ending was really tragic. So i cried. Duh.

There's like physics tuition later on so i woke up early just to do my homework. (I bet KZ and hwee haven't done!!!) Then after that we're going to Li Sze's to discuss sec 4 farewell.
Back to Physics!

Angels and Demons

I am sitting at my mom's table using her laptop with seaweed gunk on my face. My cousin swears by it... but then again she's sorta weird, so I don't trust her too much. And she likes to embarrass me so i should stop hanging out with her so much.

Yeah so anyway mom and a couple of her friends are coming over later for lunch. She got marjorie to wash the expensive plates and cups. Eh does our house look like the Ritz to her?? Bah. Then Hwee and I will meet Li Sze at Citihall. Or maybe its City Hall. Whatever.

Oh just now when I went down to buy a can of soup, I saw two tiny kittens. They were very very very very cute!!!! And squeaky, cos you know, kittens don't meow, they squeak. They were playing on the steps leading to dunno where lah. And they kept huddling into a ball! I wanted to bring them back... but I think mum'd have a fit so I hadta leave them there. I think what will happen to them is that they'd be found by that nasty manager of Waterside and then they'd get murdered by him. I don't like that guy, whenever he sees me he looks very murderous, I mean what did I do anyway?? We pay you, mister!!! He always has this nasty look on his face, as if I'm like some criminal mastermind. From the Illuminati. And he's from the Vatican. And as if I've planted canisters of antimatter all over his precious Waterside (it's my precious waterside too, stupid.) that will react with matter as soon as the canister needs recharging in 24 hours and explode causing the destruction of everything in a 6-mile radius. (Been reading Angels and Demons.)

Oooh yeah Angels and Demons is REALLY fascinating, because the story takes place in Rome, the Vatican City blahblahblah, St Peter's Basilica, Sistine Chapel which is where I was less than a week ago! *haolian.* I think the history about Christianity and the Roman Catholic Church and all is really interesting. Oh and scenes from the movie the Sin eater took place in St Peter's Basilica. We watched the movie the day we got back, on HBO I think. So very coincidental.

Anyway I gtg wash the seaweed off my face, when mom and her friends come by and see me like this, I don't think I'd ever go out in public again. :D Bye.

Europe!

EUROPE WAS AWESOME.

I just got back today at about 7 am and I'm not that tired but I miss Switzerland so much man. I shall now give a detailed account of my 11 (or 9, the airplane rides count as 2 days, cheat my feelings only lah they all.) days in Europe.

Zurich
So yeah first we went on the plane at 12 am, the flight was 12 hours but because of the time difference it was about 6 plus when we got there. I think. And there was this bunch of super beng guys at the airport trying to act all cool and stuff and I was so scared they'd be in our tour but thank goodness they weren't. We went to the Rheinfalls first or maybe its Rhine Falls or whatever but the signboard spelt it as the former.
Its like the largest waterfall in Europe and the place was freezing cold cos I went out without my gloves and in 3 minutes I couldn't feel my fingers, honest.
Then we went to Titisee (Black Forest) which is at the border of Switzerland and Germany. We went to watch this feller assemble a cuckoo clock. The clocks are really really nice, every hour it strikes, there's like this clockwork thingy with little people dancing about and stuff like that and the guy who was giving the presentation was really really good looking. Ha. Then we had pork knuckles for lunch, and then it started to snow.

It was honestly SO beautiful, and each snowflake had its own star shape. It was also freezing cold but aiyah heck care la everyone was just frolicking (hoho!) around gayly! (this sentence sounds very wrong indeed.)
After that we left Black Forest, and drove past rolling hills and countrysides and trees coated with snow, exactly like y'know, if you coat a cake with icing? That kinda thing. And then we arrived at

Luzern
where we stayed the night.

Michael (that's the tour guide. He's really funny.) took us to see this lion carved into a wall of stone the next day, erected in memory of some soldiers, I forgot most of what Michael told us but the lion looks really sad. It has a spear through it.

So unless you're like my cousin or Hwee (haha.) and hate everything that has four legs and can move.. you'd feel awfully sad.
Then we went to Bern, which means Bear in German and they had a bear pit there with a coupla bears lumbering about. We spent a bit of time there for lunch and all, then we went to my favourite city! Haha.

Which was INTERLAKEN.
We stayed at Metropole, which was absolutely fantastic and the view was priceless, honestly.

Therefore the Metropole was my favourite hotel. And Interlaken is my favourite city. We had fondue that night! And my god was it good, and the owner of the place is this Swiss guy who is one helluva joker, he goes around singing at the top of his voice, wears cow-print pants, brought out a gigantic cowbell as well as those horn thingys you see people blowing in the Alps.

We had cheese fondue, meat fondue and chocolate fondue and before going off we took pictures with the owner. Very nice guy. Hahaha.

JUNGFRAUJOCH (say Yungfrauyock.)
The next day we went to Jungfraujoch which is one of the mountains at the Interlaken region, part of the Swiss Alps. There's Monch, Eigen, Jungfrau and Jungfraujoch so we take a train all the way up to the peak of Jungfraujoch.

We had lunch, went to the ice palace which is totally made of ice then to the plateau. Oh my GOD, it was like minus 12 degrees out on the plateau out in the open, over three thousand metres up, even with all our warm clothing on it was SO COLD and awfully windy and of course the wind made it much worse. But the view was marvellous. I think that was my favourite part of the trip. :D

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Its kinda hard to breathe up there, not much oxygen so we got tired very fast but when we were on the train on the way down it got loads better.

We left Interlaken after that (bah.) and made our way to a castle. It's called Castello Grande, which is Italian because in that region (Lugarno i think) they stop speaking German and speak Italian instead. The castle was really beautiful. The view was fantastic and there was snow everywhere. There wasn't much to see at Lugarno, only a chapel and a bit of shopping, not much. And then no more Switzerland. :(

We went to Milan next, and didn't really see much of it but the hotel was good. Oh okay I think we did, we got a city guide and she took us around. I THINK. i can't really remember. We went to see a castello... and this HUGE horse sculpture by Leonardo da Vinci.

Okay some of my pictures are missing so I can't remember where we went next. Either Florence or Venice lah.

Florence is FIRENZE in Italian, which is also the name of the centuar in Harry Potter. The best thing about Florence was their Florentine Steak. It was HUGE. (okay maybe not that big la but huge by my standards) and I finished it. Achievement, no? Haha but it was fantastic, beats Morton's flat any day and there was a guy providing music entertainment and a lovely boxer, which kept coming to us so that we could scratch him behind the ears.
After dinner our bus driver (looks like Viggo Mortensen -Aragorn from LOTR) showed us this trick he can do. He'd put a pile of coins on your hand then you'd have to close your hand before he swipes the coins off and NO ONE was faster than he was. That was super man. Haha and the steak was really tok- kong ah! =)

In Venice, there are totally no roads at all. Not a single car either, their roads are canals and they travel by gondola or on foot. The main island of Venice is made out of many small islands that are linked to each other by bridges so everytime you cross a bridge you are actually crossing over into another island. And at St Marco's square, the whole place was absolutely chock full of pigeons so we bought some corn and stood there and the pigeons flew all about us and sat on our arms and shoulders and heads to try to get at it, it was really fun, there had to be hundreds of them flapping about us. (I can see Li Sze and Hwee squirming now.)
We went for a ride on one of the gondolas. It was freezing, and the boatman didn't sing or wear a straw hat and a striped suit like they do in movies. He wore a Nike beanie and a very bored look on his face. It was still kinda fun though.

Third last day- we went to Pisa to see the leaning tower of Pisa.

Then to Rome! =)
The hotel was damn stinky lah. It was effing hot in the room, no wind, (most hotels don't have airconditioning but at least its windy), the bath water was freezing cold, the room felt really dirty as if it had like a layer of grime all over it. So we changed room. Hahaha.

We went to Vatican City.
Vatican City is FASCINATING. Its the smallest state in the world. First we went to the Vatican museum with all its paintings and tapestries but we were given far too little time there... I wish I could know the meaning behind all the paintings and sculptures and all but I suppose that's the disadvantage of joining a group tour. We went to the Sistine Chapel next:

CLICK HERE FOR SISTINE CHAPEL PHOTO

where photographs are strictly prohibited. I took this one by pointing the lens up and clicking without looking. haha and it turned out fine, just sorta crooked. The ceiling is painted by Michelangelo, called a fresco, and it took the man ten years. It tells a story if you look at it properly: like on one side you see the good people rising from their tombs to become angels and the other the bad people going into hell. And you can see St Bartholemew, who according to our guide was skinned alive, and he is pictured holding his skin and the face of the skin is actually Michelangelo's own face, his self portrait. Amazing innit.

After that it was the Colosseum where the Roman gladiators of old fought and stuff. Very bloody place.

Then it was back home. oh on the plane home this lady had a heartattack, it was effing scary, the air hostesses were running up and down with an oxygen tank and then they asked over the PA system if anyone on the plane was a doctor and luckily there was one. The lady got transferred to Business Class.

I bought three books, one about Rome, one about Leonardo da Vinci and one about the Vatican City. I'm reading the one about da vinci, it's awfully interesting.

Okay so that's it. I really wanna go back again! Hahaha.

-8!

FYI, I changed my template because I realised my previous one was Bon Jovi - themed and... i've been linked enough to Bon Jovi already so I don't need his lyrics hitting me smack in the face everytime I open my blog. (My hair looks NOTHING like his!!!)

I just want to share this wonderful piece of news with everyone.
Zurich's temperature is -8 degrees and its highest is -1, and it's SNOWING! How often do you turn to the weather page and see this.

Taipei 19/23 Cloudy

OR

Johor Baru 23/30 Sunny

How many times can you look at the country you are going to and see

Zurich -8/-1 SNOW <---!!!

Huzzah. Bring out the winter wear!

camp.

I deleted Krum's face because it was too big and I'm too lazy to make it smaller. Anyway, got back from tennis camp on the 25th and I'm so glad I decided to go because it was really VERY fun.
Initially me and Lisze were gonna share a room but in the end we ended up sharing a room with Pat and Gourie and that was definitely more fun! Firstly in the morning we'd be awakened by Li Sze killing ants.

Li Sze: WAH LAU EH! SO MANY ANTS ONE! PAT LAH YOU IDIOT! NEVER WASH YOUR CUP LAH! DAMMIT LAH!

Tennis was fun too, i think the drills were cool. :D We played quite a lot of tennis, especially the first day.
When we got there it was tennis straightaway, then lunch, then tennis, then dinner, and then more tennis and we turned in at about 9.30 pm but OBVIOUSLY we didn't sleep, Viv and Hwee came over and Gou and Pat wanted to watch the Sixth Sense but Li Sze and Hwee didn't let them.

The second day was like, the best though, because though poor Vivien got sick and had to go home (at night)... the day was fun. We played in the morning and after lunch until about 3 or 4 then we went swimming which was the most fun part of the camp, haha. :) And dinner was fantastic.

On the last day we slacked the whole morning, watching cartoons and stuff, then had tennis until about 4.30 in the afternoon then we took showers and left at about 6.

But still! I'm really glad I went. Pat is like SO FUNNY. She was so blur that she had all of us like, laughing so much... especially what happened in the pool...
And there were so many frickin-ants in our room, it was sick but mostly it was Li Sze who was killing them, and boiling water, and waking us up. Haha.
I'm going back next year.

Taiwan!

Taiwan was very very very fun. Except for the last day but I'll go into that later.

When we reached there it was like, 6 pm and pitch black? Then mom's cousin met us and we went to the hotel (very posh.) then we had dinner at some Hakka cuisine place next to it. Then we headed over to our relatives' place... and then we went to the nightmarket. Nightmarkets there are SO cool. It's not exactly very cheap but there's a lot to see and by the time we got back to the hotel it was like past 1 in the morning.
And the next day we went to the big museum place with all the cool artifacts. Piang eh. Koreans are so rude! Honestly! Everytime we wanted to look at something a whole crowd of them would jostle their way over and start shoving us around. Like if you're standing there they literally walk right into you so you have no choice but to move out of their way, which is obviously what they want. Ugh. Anyway the museum was pretty cool, they had stuff dating back from like 2000 BC. One of the coolest things was this olive stone. Some old guy carved it into a boat, complete with some poet guy on board and a whole poem in minute lettering. It was DAMN cute. :D
That night, we went to the famous Shilin nightmarket with my cousin. (We call her Chun Chun. She's very cute! hahaha.) We took a train there and there were a couple of gays on board who kept clutching each other. My cousin (as in the one who came to Taiwan with us) kept staring at them and complaining loudly that "one of the guys wasn't bad looking" and I told her that she had no taste and she told me that I had no taste and only liked sissy guys and I said I do not like sissy guys and okay, it went on and on and on. We tried the oyster omelette there. It was gross. The one in Singapore beats it by far and so does the Bangkok one. Then we tried chou tofu which really pongs but when they serve it it actually tastes pretty good.

So after that we headed off shopping. They sell a lot of Hollister and A and F jackets but they are SO EXPENSIVE. Like $80++++?? That is ki siao lah! So you might ask, what were the many great cheap deals I got at Taipei's most famous night market?

Two pairs of socks.
That is seriously all I bought from Shilin. They cost a dollar each. Everything else was like, EXPENSIVE. I mean I went there expecting Bangkok kind of cheap, in Bangkok you can just buy and buy without even thinking but in Taipei you have to think helluva lot. And mostly end up not buying. It was SO disappointing. :( Oh yeah I bought a ring too. Two pairs of socks and a ring. Yay me!
We took a cab back to the hotel after that. Then we slept at around 2 plus or 3 because there was this fascinating show on NGC: something about the Da Vinci Code.
The third day, we went to Taipei 101. We kept calling it Beijing 101 instead because that's what we're used to but luckily we didn't make that mistake in front of any Taiwanese, they might've killed us for mixing up the tallest building in Asia with hair removal treatment. Anyway Taipei 101 was such a bloody waste of time! The only thing we could afford there was the food from the food court, they had all those expensive brands (even Esprit was too expensive.) that no one can afford. The dessert in the food court was super though. There was this thing called xue hua and it was like little flurries of milk ice. Superb.
That night my mom's cousins took us to Hua Xi nightmarket. It was damn sick because they had this snake alley, and they were killing snakes for their meat and blood. They actually had snake killing shows but luckily I didn't watch any. You could see the huge bottles of pickled snakes and there was this guy with a live cobra in front of him that'd hiss at anyone who came to near. POOR FELLA. PETA should put a stop to this. There wasn't much in Huaxi so we went to a Buddhist temple, then to Ximending. We didn't stay there for very long but it was a cool place! I wish we had. And my cousin finally bought a ring, one of those big chunky kinds she's crazy over. Did I mention how nice the Taiwanese are? When you go into their shop they all call out huan ying guang ling and they're all very polite. And I LOVE the way they speak Chinese. It's easier to understand than the way the people in China speak and it sounds really lovely. Haha. They all like to go dui ah! Honestly. All of them say that a lot. Heh.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention above that before going to the museum, we went to Ding Tai Fung (which they have at paragon). The food was about the same standard as Singapore's, pretty good, but I must talk about the TOILETS. They are SO COOL. Firstly, the seats are heated so when you sit down it's pleasantly warm. Haha, then they have this little speaker on the wall which produces this flushing sound to mask the sound of your pee-ing, and the coolest part is that the toilet bowl has this armrest with buttons that make the toilet wash your butt! OH MY GOSH. that was so cool. I didn't try it but my mom did and she said it felt very nice. Damn I should've. :(

On the last day, in the morning, we went to buy muah chee and then walked all the way back to the hotel to check out, and then we followed another of my cousins (This guy is called Pang Pang. I'm serious. As in Fat Fat. It's his nickname, and he's Chun Chun's brother and he's very cute as well, not good looking cute but oh well you get what I mean.) to this restaurant opened by a bunch of celebrities including Shu Qi and they were playing Monkey Business, and the food was really great. Then Chun Chun asked if we wanted to take photos with Wang Li Hom, that singer chappie, cos he was at some shopping centre nearby and her friend knew people who knew people who knew people and so on, so we could go and take photos. So we followed her, and we saw him promoting Lays potato chips, but we didn't manage to take a photo with him cos we had to leave for the airport.

The car ride was damn long lah. My cousin was teaching Pangpang (LOL.) how to speak English but obviously if he learns from her then he'll learn the wrong thing lah. THEN. We got to the boarding place just in time and I found out that I lost my passport. So I panicked cos there was about 5 minutes before take off but LUCKILY. They managed to find it for me! Go Taiwanese people! And they were very nice about it. So I rushed onto the plane, very grateful, when I realised that my iPod wasn't in my bag. Or in anyone's bag. Or on the plane heading for Singapore, for that matter.
I nearly DIED. I nearly threw a tantrum. So blahblahblah, skip the boring stuff about the plane ride and being lectured by my mom and the gross plane food that cost us eight-freaking-dollars and to the part where I got home, and had to pick the lock of my suitcase with a screw driver cos my keys were in the pouch with my iPod, as well as my hairclip and bubblegum in a tube. I eventually did it and then my mom sent an email to Pang Pang and Chun Chun to see if they had it and GUESS WHAT, IT WAS IN PANG PANG'S CAR. YAY! He sent us an email (in broken english, but WHO CARES!) that he had it so I told my mom to send him one back THANKING HIM VERY MUCH and oh, remember to put a lot of smiley faces behind.

So that ends my Taiwan trip! :D
Oh you know they say bad things happen in threes? The third bad thing after losing my iPod and passport was that on the conveyer belt thingy, that you stand on so they transport you to some far off place? I spilled the boiled peanuts our relatives gave us all over that, so I had to go on my hands and knees and scoop up everything while proclaiming very loudly that my life was the pits. Do bear in mind that I had no idea of the whereabouts of my iPod then thus I was not in the best of moods.

I really like my relatives! :D
